We think we had a hatching of Tiger Swallowtails today. Our butterfly bushes were covered with them. They were all perfectly formed. And their bodies were plump and fat. These are quite common around here and they are as big as my hand.

Great video Tom! They're so beautiful. I have them all over my yard too now. The tiger swallowtails are among the prettiest of the butterflies, IMO. I'm hoping the giant swallowtails decide to visit my yard one of these days too, though they're usually further south and have different host plants.

We have seen a couple of Giants here already. They too are beautiful. The thing I like about the Tiger is they are so mellow. They almost land on me every time I'm out taking pictures.
