This is a tie fleece blanket made by caddy79. She made about 20 at Christmas and took them to her veterinary hospital. She was in there the other day and he wants her to make more. He said he picked out the softest one and took a nap on it! She says that he surely didn't, but knowing him, he might have! Her Christmas poem to the veterinary hospital is in the next post.

Making the blankets is very easy. Once you get started, you will get hooked!

Here's an explanation of how to make them

Caddy says enjoy!

I can speak from experience that this is the most beautiful, comfortable blanket ever! Thanks caddy! :giveheart:

The blankets are two-sided. Here is the first side of mine:

And the other side:

PARKERSBURG VETERINARY HOSPITAL

To one of the very best veterinary hospitals in the world,
We wanted to do something different and give this a whirl,
You get all kinds of goodies, cakes, candies and cookies too,
Not only will these beds help the animals but will also benefit you,
I know this is not something you can enduldge,
But just think, from this, you won't get the buldge,
When you put these beds in the animals cage ,
We hope they will love you and settle thier rage,
I know the beds are not perfect in any way,
But we hope the animals will love them during their stay,
And now to everyone there, managers Chris and Cindy,
When you are not busy we can get quite windy,
To the client service reps we can't thank you enough,
Cause when we come in ,you have to put up with a lot of stuff,
To the veterinary technicians, your jobs are done puurrfect too,
No howling here, ours and Santa hats are off to you,
To the support staff, you do your jobs very well,
Thank goodness you don't have to go get water from the well,
And now to all the Drs.,especially Dr. cunningham & Dr Shockey,
We appreciate you being there, instead of going hunting or playing hockey,
All the long hours you put in,can't be replaced by anyone,
You are the very best veterinarians on this side of the sun,
So now we want to wish each and every one,

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS &
THE HAPPIEST NEW YEAR !!

A GREAT BIG THANKS !!

Wow aren't those really great and would you believe my friend gave me four of those blankets and I was going to make some cuddle toys for the new bird who picks at her feathers.
But instead I would love to make my crippled gal a pillow type thing so she can rest her little crippled feet.

Caddy you are a sweetheart to be so kind to everyone and a blessing..

Can I ask what you padded the pillow with?
Also I would have to probably cut the whole blanket I have into small pieces and stuff that in as the padding. That way it wouldn't be too thick and would fit on her corner shelf.

Lovely work and a delight to see..
