Hello Tom and Rick,

As the reaident gurus of all things technical, I am wondering if you can tell me how I can get the bygc cam pic on my iPad. I can log in ok, and i can access chat and all forums, but unfortunately Apple iPad does not support flash player.

This is very frustrating, not just missing the cam here, but also for other times when I need to watch something for uni. Mostly I can get by, but I really would like to be able to see the bygc garden, even when I am away from my laptop. I guess there are options if I want to pay but I'd rather a free app if possible.

Many thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Flash Player is not possible in any way at all on the iPad, iPhone or iPods but I do think there's a ustream app in the app store that should let you watch cams. it wont be on the BYGC webpage however.

Not sure if this will help but this is all I could find........

Flash Player 10.2 is Here: Available Now for Windows, Mac, and Linux
Today, we’re launching Flash Player 10.2 for Windows, Mac, and Linux. We’re especially excited that this release introduces Stage Video, a full hardware accelerated video pipeline for best-in-class, beautiful video across platforms and browsers. Additionally, this version of Flash Player offers all the new capabilities previewed in our beta release, like custom native mouse cursors, multiple monitor full-screen support, Internet Explorer 9 hardware accelerated rendering support, and enhanced sub-pixel rendering for superior text readability.

and that link takes ya to this

Hope that helps and if anyone can tell Nanny if she should try it.

Sorry to say that adobe flash player is the one that is NOT supported by iPad.

Thanks rick, i will have to go via ustream direct, i think, just to see the garden but as you say, won't be able to chat there.

Apple's stubborn refusal to allow Flash on any of it's devices has always been a deal-breaker for me using any Apple devices.

I checked around and found a link in the Ustream support services for view cams on Ipads. Nanny loaded it and is waiting for daylight but so far its working.

Basically what ChevyTech says but to be more clear in order to view the cam you will more than likely need the uStream app. It is free from the app store and it is what I use to watch the cam on my iPhone.
