Compared to what I am used to, Al's place goes from Autumn/Fall straight to spring LOL I wouldn't mind it...

I love seeing your mid-winter colour in the garden, Al. We have some of those plants here (in spring and summer).

The last couple of pictures stirred a memory of Australia, for me. Are they "Kangaroo Paws"? I seem to recall they looked a lot like that.

It's a Calothamnus, Van, a native of Western Australia, so I'm pleased that it's growing here, on the East Coast.

I tried to take cuttings for propagation, but no success yet.

It flowers all Winter, the nectar-eating birds love it.
