Use only regular beer, not lite, and let set out to room temperature
2 cups all purpose self rising flour*
2 tablespoons sugar
12 fl. ounces beer
3 tablespoons melted butter
Gently mix together flour, sugar and beer just until blended (leave it a little lumpy on top). Pour into grease loaf pan (I use pam spray to grease). Bake at 350 degrees. bake 25 minutes. drizzle with butter.
*Substitute for self rising flour: 1 cup of all purpose flour with 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
