Macaroni N Cheese

1 pound elbow macaroni
1 cup whole milk
2 12 ounce can evaporated milk
3 egg
1/2 cup sour cream
1 8 ounce package cream cheese
1/2 pound Colby cheese shredded
1/2 pound Monterey jack cheese shredded
1/2 pound sharp Cheddar cheese shredded
1 pound velveeta cheese cubbed
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup american or cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook macaroni according to package directions.

In a large bowl, combine the whole milk, evaporated milk, sour cream, cream cheese and eggs. Mix with fork until thoroughly combined.

Add the Colby, Monterey, sharp cheddar and Velveeta cheeses to pasta.

Pour the milk and egg mixture over the pasta. Season with salt and pepper and toss. Sprinkle top of the pasta with the remaining cheddar cheese.

Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, or until heated throughout and top is lightly browned.

I don't always stick to the colby/monterey/cheddar cheese mix. I will use whatever cheese I may have around the house as long as it amounts to 1 1/2 pounds of shredded cheese. I personally dont use american.

That sounds good Anita and I'll have to give it a try.
I had asked on the 28th Sept for recipes for Mac & Cheese and finally my sister remembered how our Gran made hers.
And my mum also.
I love to add the breadcrumbs on as a topping.
I being the only one here I don't make it too often as I can't always figure out smaller amounts and still have it taste like the one for a large family.
Another dish I love..... liver and onions.
